Assistant Video and Digital Content Editor

Are you passionate about creating high-quality video and digital content? Are you organised, able to edit to a high standard and create compelling engaging narratives? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

We are looking for an Assistant Video and Digital Content editor to help create content for an exciting new project within Norfolk County Council. The role will include some face-to-face filming, editing of pre-recorded content and the creation of video and graphic e-learning content to engage our audience of teaching professionals.

This role will support the development and implementation of a new project within Norfolk’s Local First Inclusion Programme. This project aims to develop high quality, evidence-based digital training and guidance for Norfolk schools and settings. Local First Inclusion is a six-year Norfolk County Council special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) improvement programme focused on improving educational support for children and young people and their families and providing earlier help.

This is a full-time role, fixed term for two years, suitable for someone with experience of filming, editing and creating graphics for video content using the Adobe suite of applications, primarily Premiere Pro and After Effects. Appropriate technology and licences will be provided, and you will be able to perform many aspects of the role remotely, so we ask that you have good Broadband connectivity in place.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary
  • Generous holiday entitlement with the ability to buy and sell leave
  • Health and Wellbeing services including fast-track physiotherapy and a free counselling service
  • Flexible working opportunities including flexi-time, part time, remote and hybrid working – dependent on your job role and business need.
  • Financial benefits such as:
  • ‘Norfolk Rewards’ our employee discount programme which helps you save money on almost anything, from everyday groceries and clothes, to holidays, new technology, gym membership, trips to the cinema and days out.
  • A Blue Light card for Fire Service and Social Care Workers
  • Relocation expenses paid upfront (where applicable)
  • An advance of your expenses if you travel for work
  • Local Government Pension Scheme with generous employer contribution, life assurance, death in service payments and dependants’ pensions.
  • A payment if you refer someone you know to a hard to fill job. Tax efficient ways of getting extra pension, new bikes and electric cars.

Before you apply, we recommend reading the full Job Description and Person Specification to help you demonstrate you meet the criteria.
