The Opportunity

We are in search of a Short-Form Content Editing Intern to collaborate with our existing production team. Your primary responsibility is to transform our in-depth podcast episodes into engaging, concise, and visually captivating short-form content that can be shared across platforms (Insta Shorts, Youtube Shorts etc). As we believe in sharing success, you’ll be offered equity in the company in lieu of a traditional salary. This part-time position emphasises quality of output over hours spent, valuing potential over mere qualifications.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work closely with the production and marketing teams to distill long-form podcast content into engaging short-form snippets for broader reach.
• Develop video and audio clips that capture the essence of our interviews, suitable for platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
• Leverage AI tools into your workflow to reduce the time required to process videos and other content formats (i.e., Opus Clip).
• Engage with storytelling techniques to ensure the edited content remains authentic, captivating, and in line with our brand’s ethos.
• Analyse audience engagement to identify trends and preferences, tweaking content strategy accordingly.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in content editing and bring innovative ideas to ensure our content remains fresh and relevant.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and content discussions, cultivating a collaborative environment.
• Uphold our brand’s quality while also seeking out new creative avenues to explore.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in short-form content editing, supported by a strong portfolio.
• Experience using and leveraging AI tools (i.e., Opus Clip etc.) into your workflow.
• Familiarity with industry-standard editing tools and platforms (i.e., Adobe Premier Pro etc.).
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
• A knack for storytelling and understanding audience behaviour.
• Drive and passion for podcasting, education, and technology.
• Adaptability to rapidly incorporate feedback and iterate content based on audience reactions.
