Find your role
This position is a social media specialist role
Maternity cover, (FTC) to join our George social team. You will know how to create best in class social content whilst identifying new ways to innovate and engage our audience.
Planning, organising and integrating knowledge
- Coordinate the George social media plans across the channels nuancing content relevant for the platform.
- Ensuring Content is both commercial and optimized for maximum engagement, relevant to our audience and aligned to the business priorities.
- Avid social media user with knowledge of all major channels and emerging channels.
- Line manage one social media planner.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders across the business from creative, PR & Influencer teams to curate the best social media plan.
- Horizon scan for competitor activities, new technology, and trends to ensure George is at the forefront of innovation.
- Be the team champion for brand consistency and creativity.
- Attend key events, shoots, and social engagements when required.

- You will have a deep understanding of social media with knowledge with the ability to take act on insights and make actionable change.
- Experience in planning, content ideation, content creations, and implementation of campaigns.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Copywriting, content creation, and attention to detail are all key.
- A keen interest in fashion, lifestyle & home.
- Observant of emerging trends.
- Are you an effective communicator with the ability to communicate, influence, and negotiate at all levels?
- Are you self-motivated, creative, & ideas-driven?
Who you’ll be working with
- Reporting to the George social & influencer manager
- Key stakeholders within creative services, brand performance, PR as well as the wider ASDA social team.
- Working alongside the social and influencer specialist
- Management of 1 social media planner
