Contract: Full Time, Contractor

Job Description:

-Provide information and guidance to the group leadership team

-Collaborate on a vision for coordinating aesthetic design and user experience

-Participate in the development and improvement of a design system and component library

-Interface with artists in the Communications Division to advance the lab’s brand

-Serve as the liaison with the directorate’s UX team

-Improve development process steps to incorporate user experience and design principles

-Consultation and guidance on accessibility issues

-Ensure every solution delivers a delightful user experience

-Align behaviors, priorities, and interactions with core values

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree with minimum two years’ professional computing experience

-Knowledge and experience in user experience, digital design, and web development

-Knowledge and experience in web accessibility guidelines and regulations

-Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities and tasks simultaneously

-Strong customer focus and excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Ability to lead peers and partner with other parts of the organization

-Knowledge and experience in agile development, continuous improvement, and change management

-Experience with Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework, Microsoft O365 tools, ServiceNow, Drupal, and/or WordPress

Other Information:

-Full-time, 3-month contract with potential for telecommuting

-Occasional travel to the Oak Ridge facility may be required

-Paid overtime and 3 weeks’ vacation
