Job Description:
The Video Editor will be responsible for taking a brief from the production team and reviewing shooting scripts and raw material to create a shot decision list. They will also be responsible for trimming footage segments, putting together the sequence of the film, and adding music, dialogues, graphics, and effects. The Video Editor will create rough and final cuts, ensure logical sequencing and smooth running, and consult with stakeholders throughout the production and post-production process.
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven work experience as a Video Editor
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (Premiere, After Effects, and Final Cut)
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity
- Familiarity with compositing
- Creative mind and storytelling skills
