Job Description
AUSA News is looking for a Freelance Video Editor to edit video for news programs, live coverage, breaking news, and other productions and promotions. The Video Editor will work independently or as part of a team to accurately represent the news and turn it into a finished product.
Responsibilities:
- Create tagged commercials for cross channel and broadcast.
- Analyze, develop, and recommend solutions for editorial, procedural, and operational needs.
- Work closely with Lead Editors and Design teams to optimize editorial processes.
- Work efficiently within time constraints to meet advertising and non-advertised requirements.
- Handle changing requirements to meet the needs of other teams and tools.
- Create and develop internal and external company communication.
- Collaborate with a team of editors to achieve team goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of digital post-production experience; editing in Adobe Premiere Pro
- 2+ years working in a high-pressure environment meeting tight deadlines
- Strong understanding of digital workflows and file-based delivery
- Strong understanding of frame rates, aspect ratios, and resolutions
- Ability to read video scopes and audio levels
- Demonstrated strong editorial judgment
- Proven experience editing content for a variety of digital platforms
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, early mornings, and weekends
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects is a significant plus
