Job Description:

This job is a part-time position (22.5 hours per week) and the salary of £24,000 will be paid pro rata. It is a 6 month fixed-term contract, starting on February 1st. The role is based 100% at our small studio in Sheffield (S8). The responsibilities include:

• Assessing briefs from clients and director/producer/line manager
• Taking receipt of, ingesting, and processing original assets
• Sourcing and processing additional assets
• Managing backups, archiving, and record keeping
• Creating and managing project files using Adobe Premiere
• Editing projects according to briefs
• Adding visual effects, graphics, and animations
• Edit, enhance, and mix audio
• Ensuring all videos adhere to brand guidelines
• Meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects
• Managing edit suite and hardware
• Providing regular project progress updates
• Assisting in the maintenance and updating of company social media, website, and other pages
• Performing additional duties related to the successful operation of the business
• Attending necessary meetings and industry-relevant training

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Video Editor using Adobe Premiere and related software

Desirable Experience:

• Experience in a professional workplace such as a production company, digital agency, or post-production facility

Desirable Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of video editing techniques
• Familiarity with filmmaking, photography, and sound principles relevant to editing
• Knowledge of PC hardware and connectivity
• Familiarity with various software platforms and tools
• Knowledge of technical and filmmaking terminology

Other Information:

• 28 days annual holiday pro-rata (= 17 days annually at 22.5 hours)
