Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting. You will work closely with our production team to ensure all video projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.

Responsibilities:

• Edit video footage to tell compelling stories, enhance visual impact, and maintain continuity
• Manipulate and edit video content for various platforms including social media, websites, and broadcast
• Collaborate with the production team to understand project requirements and objectives
• Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
• Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects
• Create rough and final cuts
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of video content
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Video Editor
• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
• Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity
• Creative mind and storytelling skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field is a plus
