Job Description:

As our new Social Media Specialist, you will support the Programming Manager and Programming Director in delivering and overseeing social media and digital video output for the Top Gear brand. You will be responsible for creating digital content for Top Gear’s branded channels, supervising digital video content creation, approving and signing off scheduled editorial content, and ensuring compliance with BBC Studios guidelines. You will also support the development and implementation of brand and commercial strategies, own allocated projects, analyze digital performance data, and ensure content is produced with commercial relevancy in mind.

Requirements:

• A proven background in big-brand digital channel management and associated community management
• A proven background in content creation and creativity within a digital space
• Knowledge of the current digital landscape and trends
• Experience of building and engaging large scale online audiences
• Experience of working to tight deadlines and managing key stakeholder relationships
• Organized multitasker with the ability to manage multiple workstreams/projects
• An ability to deliver at pace and anticipate deadlines
• Experience of data analytics and campaign measurement tools
• Experience of content creation tools (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc)
• Experience managing sizable digital channels (Social, Web, CRM)

Other Information:

• Line management experience is desirable
• A passion for the automotive industry and knowledge of the automotive landscape is desirable
• Experience within an automotive publisher, brand, manufacturer, or motorsport series is desirable
• Basic video editing skills and strong copywriting and editorial acumen are desirable
• Experience with project management tools like Monday.com is desirable

• Salary: £27,300 to £31,936 depending on relevant skills, knowledge, and experience
