Job Description
This role requires a freelance editor who is open to a short-term contract, must be passionate about driving creativity and pushing corporate videos to the next level. You will be working alongside Producers and Senior Editors to ensure a high level of creative output is achieved across the editing department. You will be required to work UK and US hours when necessary.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Audition
- Excellent communication skills are required to have a solid understanding of project scope and implementation
- A high level of attention to detail
- The ability to work to tight deadlines
- Confident with building a narrative/edit
- Audio editing skills
- To be able to follow instruction and work within a team
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for executing the brief to the best of your ability
- To select rushes; put together a first draft alone and ensure all amendments are addressed
- To communicate with Producers and the team at all points within a project
- To work with the Senior Editors, ensuring quality and highest standard of work throughout
- Develop all technical knowledge and translate to team members where necessary
- To ensure you are following the most efficient process and keep projects organised
- Report any project issues/concerns immediately to a Senior Editor
- Editing video in styles suitable for various platforms and purposes
- Sourcing and licensing music and sound effects for various projects, in line with the brief
- Creating and updating 2D motion graphics using After Effects for titles, name straps etc.
- Ensure all day to day duties are adhered to, at all times, and to the highest standard
- Keeping up to date and ahead of the game with trends specific to video editing
- To facilitate flexible working hours; UK hours (9.30am - 6pm) and US hours (2pm – 10pm)
