Job Description

We want you to #JOINTHEREBELLION! For 30 years, Rebellion has been independently developing and publishing incredible video games across multiple studios founded by Jason & Chris Kingsley. However, Rebellion is more than just games; we also have our own film studio, create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, produce comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.

We are currently on the lookout for a Senior Game Designer to join our talented team and contribute to our diverse portfolio of video games, which encompasses various genres and styles. The Rebellion Design team is responsible for creating and maintaining games from concept to release, working closely with specialist teams to implement engaging and immersive gameplay using innovative game mechanics.

As a Senior Game Designer, you will be involved in all stages of the game development process, from ideation and prototyping to final execution and polishing. Your responsibilities will include creating design documentation, collaborating with artists and programmers, ensuring all elements align with the creative vision, and maintaining game setups. We foster a culture of growth and learning, encouraging team members to pursue new skills and mentorship opportunities. This position can be based out of any of our studios in Oxford, Warwick, or Runcorn, offering flexibility and collaboration.

Requirements

• Professional experience as a Game Designer in the video game industry.
• Strong understanding of game design principles and methodologies.
• Experience with creating game design documentation and gameplay prototypes.
• Knowledge of the game development lifecycle and production pipelines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
