Job Title: Digital Video Shooter/Editor
Reports to: Senior Producer

Duration: 12 month Fixed Term Contract (Secondment for internal employees)
Working alongside a dedicated team of digital creatives, you will be creating original social media content for multiple different platforms. This will include filming and editing original digital productions as well as larger scale shoots supporting the channels’ marketing aims. The Digital Video Shooter/Editor requires a passion and strong knowledge of what works across the content spectrum digitally and on all social media platforms.
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience on several professional productions and working as a camera operator.
- Good troubleshooting skills for camera, lighting, and sound equipment.
- Understanding of camera profiles, formats, lenses, composition, and data wrangling.
- Experience in the digital/social editing world with quick turnaround times.
- Strong experience in editing creative projects to meet the creative brief.
- Thorough understanding of processes, workflows, tools, and methodologies.
- Understanding of post-production processes including colour-correcting edits.
- Exemplary camera and Premiere Pro skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technically proficient with a wide range of digital production techniques and camera equipment.
- Filming and editing content for youth audiences with engagement from the first frame.
- Managing and troubleshooting multicamera shoots.
- Filming and editing fresh, unique approaches to digital and social-first content.
- Innovating creative and technical processes for efficient video production.
- Staying abreast of developments in social media and their implications.
- Following briefs closely, with the ability to interpret loose briefs effectively.
- Quick turnaround of topical content to capitalize on trends.
- Shooting for different social media types and understanding their nuances.
- Adhering to health and safety procedures for productions.
- Maintaining a good relationship with stakeholders, Legal & Compliance.
- Understanding results and applying insights to future work.
Additional Information
Secondment Policy: This role is advertised as a secondment. If successful, you would move into this role for a defined time period. Current permanent employees will receive an acting-up allowance for the duration of the secondment. For fixed-term contract employees, the contract end date and salary will be adjusted for the duration of the secondment.
Hybrid Working: From September 2023, the company operates a 60/40 working pattern, equivalent to three office days a week, allowing flexibility for the remaining working days. The offices are open five days a week.
