Job Description

We’re a transmedia storytelling studio focused on developing interactive social-first content. We’re looking for a video editor who could help create cross-platform videos, under 3 minutes in length. The freelancer will produce edits based on social media strategy and general briefs provided by the creative director. As a Video Editor, your primary responsibility will be to transform raw footage into polished videos that effectively communicate our expansive story and engage our audience.

Responsibilities include editing and assembling recorded raw material into a finished product ready for broadcasting, utilizing software to create visually appealing content, collaborating with the creative director, incorporating graphics, sound effects, and music, and staying updated with industry trends and best practices in videography and video production.

Requirements

• Proficiency in video editing software including Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Bridge.

• Strong skills in video production techniques.

• Experience with photo editing and manipulation is preferred.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

• A portfolio showcasing previous video editing work is highly desirable.

Job Highlights

• Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour

• Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week

• Flexible schedule with the ability to choose your own hours
