Patrick Spurgeon is a professional touring and studio drummer and multi-instrumentalist, with a career spanning over three decades. He began performing and recording in the early '90s with t he band Antenna, whose debut album Hideout was released in 1993 on Mammoth Records.
He later earned a BA from Indiana University, where he focused on classical percussion performance. After graduating, Spurgeon relocated to San Francisco and in 2002 joined the band Rogue Wave. As a longtime member, he has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe and contributed to seven full-length albums and numerous singles. Notable tracks include “Eyes,” featured in the film Just Friends, and “Lake Michigan,” featured in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
In 2021, Spurgeon moved to Portland, Oregon with his wife and daughter, where he continues to record and tour. That same year, he began performing as a fill-in drummer for The Dandy Warhols, touring internationally and contributing to their 2024 album Rockmaker. He is also an active member of the cinematic western psych band Federale, recording and performing with the group who are signed to Jealous Butcher Records.
With a versatile background in both classical and contemporary music, Spurgeon brings a wide-ranging skill set and decades of professional experience to every performance and recording project.
