I’ve always been a deeply expressive person with a wide range of interests, which makes choosing a single career path somewhat daunting. Roles I’ve held in the past have felt too narrow, too rigid, like I was leaving parts of myself at the door. However, when I discovered the music world, it felt like I had struck gold. Here was a space where creativity and structure, artistry and collaboration, could coexist; I could finally bring all of my skills and curiosities to the table. I offer a creative mindset, and believe that every opportunity holds something new to learn. As a writer with a broad and varied background, I’ve had the chance to explore many styles - from blog content to educational writing to marketing copy. I even went to school for screenwriting before persuing music business! Any vessle that allows me to think freely/deeply and step outside of my own shoes excites me. I pride myself on being fair, open-minded, and collaborative, genuinely believing there’s no one I can’t find common ground with. I have learned that the key to harmony is finding the funny. There is nothing I enjoy more than laughing - humour has truly helped me in my darkest moments, so when it’s brought about in times of joy, it is bliss. Starting the day with an episode of Frasier and a severely overpriced cup of coffee sets me up for success. I often feel like an underappreciated grandparent when I try to remind those around me that it is the everyday simplicities that are to be most treasured, and I do my best to keep that in mind while facing stressors. I know this industry can be tough, but I’ve always believed that kindness, humour, and a willingness to help and learn go a long way.
