Raphaël Schwab

I am a Paris-based composer whose work bridges contemporary composition, jazz and improvisation. I write for ensembles ranging from solo instruments to symphony orchestra, and I develop hybrid projects that blend music with image and stage performance.

My music explores the balance between written structures and improvisation, with a strong focus on collective sound and dramaturgy. I work across roles as a composer and double bassist, collaborating with groups like Schwab Soro Duo and Le Grand Schwab on international projects and cross-disciplinary performances.
