Renata Arzac is a cinematographer who lives and works in Mexico City. She attended Universidad Iberoamericana where she received a Bachelor in Communication Science. She has also taken several classes of cinematography, certificated by international schools like EICTV Cuba. Since 2016 she has photographed more than 10 short film, both fiction and documentary and two music videos. She feels at home within many areas of the visual language, for her, seeing has never been a passive act. In 2019, Renata was selected as one of the participants for the Looking for China Youth Film Project, where she traveled to Chengdu for a month, to work on a documentary about Taikoo Li and Fangsuo Bookstore. In her work, she creates images that think and feel, deform and transform, reinvent places and moments. For her, the movement that truly takes places in the images, is not the one the audience perceives when looking, but rather the one that is built in their imagination. To find the visual key for each project, Renata has never stopped experimenting with film stocks, sensors, lenses, color and lighting, in symbiosis with directors who themselves are intoxicated by the possibilities of their art. --- Employment and project experience Enfermería Visible, Enfermería Invencible Director of Photography and Post Producer - IberoDocs Lab.
