Rebeca Chu Saccochi

With a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), a master’s degree from the University of Brasília (UnB), and extensive teaching and research experience, I am confi dent in my ability to support your institution’s academic mission.
Besides teaching, my research in Commutative Algebra has strengthened my analytical and problem-solving skills, which I carry with me both into pedagogy and collaborative projects. Recognized as the top-performing student in UnB’s Mathematics program and fl uent in English and Portuguese, I am fully equipped to teach in a multilingual environment and/or develop curricula for multiple educational levels.
Now based in Brazil, I am eager to contribute to an institution that values innovation and would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my skills align with your needs. Even though I haven’t had much practical experience in Data Science yet, I’m at a point where my studies and personal projects have provided a very good foundation in the area. I am excited to apply my skills further and continue developing in this exciting, fast-evolving fi eld. During my recent learning journey, I have worked extensively with tools such as Python, R, and SQL, focusing on data manipulation, analysis, and machine learning. I have also explored libraries like Pandas, Scikit-learn, and TensorFlow, applying them to solve practical problems and gain deeper insights from data. My enthusiasm for data science drives me to learn constantly and experiment with new techniques to improve my skills and contribute to real-world solutions.
