Rebecca Everett

Hi, I’m a Canadian Screen Award (best song), JUNO-nominated songwriter and film composer. I was an in-house songwriter for Ole and also a jazz vocalist and violinist. I write scores and bespoke songs for film and TV.

I was honored with the Slaight Music Residency at the Canadian Film Centre, and I’ve scored numerous feature films, musicals and TV projects. My diverse background gives me an eclectic sensibility for film composing and bespoke songs.

As a board member of the Screen Composer Guild of Canada, I collaborate with peers across Canada, the US and Europe. My songs have appeared on Katy Keene, Degrassi: The Next Generation, Lost Girl, CH Live, CBC, Next Star and various films.

I have recently garnered a Canadian Screen Award Nomination for Best Song in the Musical feature film, Mother of All Shows starring Wendie Malick (BoJack Horseman, Young Sheldon), with “genuinely snappy musical numbers” (Globe and Mail).

I am currently composing the score and writing songs for the musical, The Christmas Witch Trial of La Befana, a live-action/hybrid animation feature starring Anjelica Huston.
