Hi, I’m Rick Collins. I live in James Bay, a neighborhood of Victoria, BC. I run an internationally recognized photography business, delivering assignments worldwide and here at home. I love working with clients to capture moments that tell powerful stories through light, composition, and storytelling. Before that I was the managing editor of The Chilliwack Progress, where during a five-year run the paper was honored for design and content. I also spent eight years as a full-time photojournalist at The Progress, earning numerous awards including Canadian News Photographer of the Year (twice) and Western Canadian News Photographer of the Year (three times). I’ve won two Jack Webster awards for writing and photography, and I’ve been named Canadian Photojournalist of the Year twice. I’m married 30 years and have two boys. I’m a long-time national team player, leader, and hall of fame inductee in Canadian Ultimate Frisbee.
