Hello, I’m River Evans, a filmmaker who is a native of New Zealand and currently immersed in Italy’s film scene. I lead creative teams—often 30+ people—with clear organization, passion, and a collaborative spirit. My focus is directing, screenwriting, and crafting stories that connect with audiences while maintaining a cinematic eye. My most recent project, Night Waves, is a professionally produced short film with a budget of 8,000 euros that has just completed its film festival run, most recently screening in Berlin at the Down Under Film Festival. I also work as a freelance videographer and editor for private clients, and have on-location experience with Worldcon (CoNZealand), shooting and editing promotional videos in the lead-up to their convention.
