Howdy hey, my name's Robin Braun; I come from the depths of the Midwest! I started my funky career when I was about 16, at that point I was more focused on my illustration and freelance work. As time went on that transitioned into graphic design and the ability to use that knowledge to my advantage! What sets me apart from others is my experience and want for communication and how I strive to complete things to the best of my capabilities. Not only that but due to my unique mix of both graphic design and illustration my work is unique and memorable as it can be that stylized. While that may seem like a constraint to have stylized work, it's equally challenged me to push myself to be as applicable as I possibly can. --- **Employment and project experience** **Freelance Design Work** 2018 - Present Successfully approached and handled clients, as well as properly managed time. **Tetrascape- Texture Pack Artist** 2023 - Present Applied more of my illustration work in a remote workplace environment.

    paper Personal Branding
For this project, I needed to create my resume, website, and business card while also taking into account my branding and how to have that effectively come across. For myself, I am huge on the color blue, stars, and the ocean. I like to be able for people to know upfront that this is who I am, how I am, etc. In the end, I loved the process. The thought behind what shapes can mean, or difference in color and tone. Thinking about people who struggle to see color and how I can still effectively have it known what my brand is.
    paper Sea Rhythms Music Festival
For this project, I was tasked to create a Festival based on a non-profit that would be in the center of downtown KC. The non-profit I chose is Oceana. I chose this because the fact that Kansas is so far away from the ocean, doesn't mean it shouldn't be educated on life and how we can affect the ecosystem! My favorite portion would have been the little details for each of the signs! Which at times could be wrapped around poles to reflect water currents with fish on the ends to be used in a "school of fish" directional way! Concessions, the fish have little triangles to signify simplified food! Which can represent pizza, icecream, chips etc! Games, the fish have little party hats! As who wouldn't get excited about fish in party hats! Parking, they have little wheels! It's supposed to represent, well, cars! Finally Merchandise, I gave the fish little pants! I feel like this project helped me round out more of my less hand-generated, illustrations by how quickly I had to create these assets, and because of those restrictions, it helped me push myself into thinking of how to make it work effectively within that time!
