Composer Rita Veneziale finds herself at home both in film and concert music. Over the last six years, she has collaborated with multiple filmmakers, composing scores and soundtracks for animated and live-action films. In the concert music arena, Rita has written orchestral, chamber, and solo works. Her orchestral piece Chernobyl, depicting the 1986 nuclear disaster and its aftermath, won the X Nazareth University Composition Competition and premiered with the Nazareth University Symphony Orchestra in April 2024. Rita has also written big band charts, including February, Without You, and Rolling Highway. Following her studies with composers Dr. Octavio Vazquez and Harry Stafylakis, Rita graduated from Nazareth University in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Music in Composition, and minors in Music History, Music Theory, Contemporary Commercial Music, and Entertainment and Recording Industry. The same year, she began her studies for a Masters in Contemporary Media/Film Composition from the Beal Institute at the Eastman School of Music.
