Freelancer with a specialty in Copywriting, Branded Content, and Graphic Design. I’m a recent Magna Cum Laude graduate of Loyola University Chicago who has already gained experience working under two accredited media entities with distinct cultures and philosophies. Initially, I wrote for The Borgen Project- an organization shedding light on global poverty. During my time with them I supplied one article every week and raised a minimum of $500 per month. While the internship was short-lived, the experience proved that I am able to work on a deadline while handling multiple responsibilities and select stories that are important to readers and in line with the company's mission. My second experience, fresh out of university, has been as a copywriter for an art and design magazine called Cultured. At Cultured I work with both creative and analytic teams to develop content for our social media and newsletters. Behind my professional career lies a diverse educational background. As a tri-national immigrant I grew up surrounded by people who think, behave, and go about life in a manner far different from one another. Thus, emerging into adulthood I had two major questions I set out to answer through my university education. First, I wanted to know why people think the way they do- what accounts for this massive disparity in the reasoning and philosophies we have? To understand this, I went into the field of Psychology where I eventually led two research groups at my university. My second question, in line with the first, was how has the world I see today come to be? Naturally, as someone who holds three passports I have been exposed to the vast cultural differences throughout the world. So, it only felt right to simultaneously pursue a degree in International Relations, a subgenre of the broader area of Political Science. It wasn’t until I was an upperclassman that I found myself at a loss as to what career path I saw for myself. It was then where I stumbled across, and ultimately fell in love with, the field of communications. In my last three semesters of university I picked up a minor in Multimedia Journalism. Through this minor I became proficient in many different softwares to produce both visual and written works, including much of the Adobe Creative Suite. --- Employment and project experience Journalist, The Borgen Project. January 2023 - June 2023 Copywriter / Marketing Content Creator, Cultured Magazine. July 2023 - Present
