Shane Aspegren

Hello, I’m Shane Aspegren, a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and sound designer based in Los Angeles. I work across film, documentary, commercial, and contemporary art contexts (as well as traditional music world), guiding projects from concept to delivery. My musical language blends rhythmic complexity and immersive textures with emotional sensitivity, built on decades of improvisation, electronic production, and acoustic instrumentation.

I thrive on expanding sound worlds with a deep toolbox—drums, percussion, electronics, synths, and voice—plus an extensive roster of collaborators when needed. I enjoy both kinetic, propulsive scoring and expansive, atmospheric soundscapes, and I’m fluent in the full scoring workflow, from thematic development to final mix and delivery.
