Hi, I’m Shelley Mock, a passionate interior designer specialising in commercial interiors and hospitality. I thrive on crafting story-driven spaces that invite people and elevate experiences, with a strong focus on spatial composition, colour and materiality. I enjoy collaborating with diverse teams and navigating multilingual environments to deliver thoughtful, high-quality designs.
As the founder of my own interior design studio in Shanghai, I led projects from concept through to construction, managed client expectations, coordinated procurement, and oversaw FF&E and soft furnishing packages. I value clear communication, meticulous planning, and hands-on collaboration to bring ideas to life.

This outdoor entrance area needed to serve multiple purposes; to support the brand visual identity; provide a meeting point; act as a way-finding tool for the entrance and to make use of an awkward space beneath a vehicular ramp.
The design builds on the existing brand imagery by playing with geometric lines and shapes, inspired by the company logo. It also uses reclaimed and locally sourced natural materials, in alignment with the company’s strong sustainability focus.

A collaborative project between birdhouse and Gds Architects, this multifunctional space including a roastery, cafe and training area, was envisioned akin to a roasting lab. Each function requires certain equipment and conditions, with a degree of flexibility. Finding a balance between the separation and unification of these functions became the backbone to the spatial strategy.
The design builds on the clients’ existing brand identity of a paired back, minimal aesthetic with warm neutral tones that invite calm contemplation.
