Hi, I’m Shumit Taher, a versatile software engineer who thrives at the intersection of business needs and technical execution. I’ve led cross‑functional teams in a global banking environment, automated workflows with VBA/MS Access, and built full‑stack applications using React, Django/Express, Java/TypeScript, and databases like MySQL and Firebase. I have also made a complete game with Unity engine. I enjoy translating complex requirements into clean, scalable software and collaborating with diverse teams to deliver practical, user‑centered solutions.

I’m currently completing a Master of Information Technology at the University of Waikato and previously earned an Executive MBA from North South University along with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Wollongong. I’ve contributed to AWS compatibility tests, fixed UI/layout issues in open‑source Vue/Node projects, and created automation tools that reduced team workload.
