Jorge Garcia is a first-generation American born in Harlem, New York to Honduran parents and raised in Yonkers, NY. His passion for music and performance began at an early age and continued to develop during his time at O. Perry Walker High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. Jorge’s foundational training came through COBRA Performing Arts, Inc., where he cultivated the discipline, musicianship, and leadership skills that would shape his professional career in the performing arts and music production industries.
He later attended Bethune-Cookman University, where he was a member of “The Pride” University Marching Band and an active member of Mu Phi Sigma National Percussion Fraternity, Snare S.I Phi Incorporated, and Sudden Impact Percussion.
Jorge has served as Director of Percussion for McNair High School, Arabia Mountain High School, Martin Luther King Jr. High School, and Manchester High School. In addition to his work in music education, he has performed professionally as a drummer for the Atlanta Braves from 2019 to 2023, contributing to live entertainment at major events including Chop Rally and post-game performances at The Battery—earning a World Series Ring as part of the organization.
Currently based in Atlanta, Jorge works as an Assistant Engineer at 2790 Recording Studios and D3 Recording Studio, and has produced records for artists including Chavo, Destin Laurel, 2kZoo, and Mama Glocc. His work bridges performance, production, and education, continuing to impact the next generation of musicians through mentorship and creative leadership.
