    This typeface was created for my Advanced Typography course. We were tasked with creating a typeface that contains capital and lowercase letters, numbers 0-9, and two ligatures. We also had to create some common punctuation characters.

    I knew that for my design I wanted to try and do something that breaks away from traditional roman characters. I also wanted it to follow guidelines or rules to help maintain a sense of cohesiveness across the typeface. After many sketches I came up with these characters. When vectorizing the shapes I added curves to corners to help the characters feel less rigid and a bit more organic. Finally, I converted these characters into a working font using an Illustrator plug in.
