Hi, I’m Jake Gaule, a freelance composer and sound designer working under the name Submerged Tapes. I lead audio direction and implementation for games and interactive media, working in GameMaker, UE5, Unity, FMOD, and Wwise to create music and sound that heightens immersion. I also record Foley and field sounds, have released four commercial sound libraries (including a car library), and regularly collaborate with teams remotely and across co-ops and contractors. I’m a Pervasive Media Studio resident, Ivor’s Academy and BAFTA Connect member, and BAFTA Audio Juror 2026. I approach every project with a friendly, open mindset, value feedback, and aim for music and sound that matches the style, from dark electronica, lo-fi and ambient to bold orchestral grandeur. My work spans composing, sound design, dialogue and VO editing, and audio systems integration across Unity, UE5, and GameMaker, always focusing on clear communication and reliable delivery.
