Hi, I’m Tarek Shah. I hold an active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph and am a Software Engineer II at Altamira Technologies Corporation. In my current role, I work across the full stack to design, build, and maintain scalable applications. I have developed backend services using Java and Spring Boot, worked extensively with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, and implemented secure, reliable APIs. On the frontend, I led the modernization of a legacy application by migrating it from AngularJS 1 to React 19, significantly improving performance, maintainability, and long-term scalability. I also have strong experience with DevOps and deployment workflows. I routinely containerize applications using Docker and deploy them across environments using Docker Swarm, with NGINX serving as a reverse proxy and load balancer. I have designed and maintained CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment, helping my team deliver features more quickly and reliably. Additionally, I have supported development infrastructure by provisioning and managing an offline environment using Proxmox and integrating internal services such as GitLab and Nexus. Beyond technical execution, I am accustomed to working in Agile environments, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams through sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
