With over two decades of professional experience in the creative industries, my journey began in the fast-paced environment of design agencies. For 20 years, I worked as a graphic designer and art director, mastering the technical side of visual communication, from complex layouts to brand identity. This extensive background gave me a solid foundation in composition, color theory, and, most importantly, the discipline to meet high-level professional standards. Eventually, my passion for storytelling and cultural heritage led me to a deliberate career shift: I decided to focus my expertise on children’s book illustration. Today, I bridge the gap between my technical design roots and the enchanting world of narrative art.

My Heart and My Craft
My work is deeply rooted in the vibrant tapestry of Afro-Brazilian and Latin American culture. I specialize in bringing to life themes inspired by the Orixás, indigenous mythologies (such as the Tupi-Guarani), and the diverse folklore that defines our continent. My goal is to create illustrations where children can see themselves reflected, fostering representation through authentic and soulful visual storytelling.
