    Ten Years of GENTS
    After ten years of danceable synth hooks and larger-than-life energy, Copenhagen duo GENTS are turning the volume down – and the intimacy up.

    GENTS is a musical partnership between Theis Vesterløkke and Niels Fejrskov Juhl, creating music that spans from energetic synthpop to introspective acoustic storytelling. Over a decade, the duo has developed a distinctive sound that combines electronic production with genuine emotion and playful wit.

    Masculinity (2026)
    On the album Masculinity, GENTS trade in lush synthpop for fragile acoustic guitars, storytelling lyrics, and a more stripped-back soundscape.

    Masculinity explores what it means to be a modern, multifaceted man – a soft, privileged “good guy” who still struggles to live up to his own ideals. The album moves between the personal and the political: from lying in a yoga pose doubting your skills as a father, to being praised for not killing a cat; from splitting the cost of birth control and calling yourself a feminist – to wondering if it actually makes a difference.

    Though the familiar GENTS wink might still be there, the new almost folk-like songs reveal a different kind of vulnerability — two artists in their thirties, inviting listeners beneath the skin and into their doubts through raw, self-exposing, and seemingly trivial stories.

    I worked as Head of Sound at Crey Games until the company closed down in 2023 due to funding issues.

    As Head of Sound at Crey Games, I was responsible for all aspects of audio production, from sound design and music composition to technical implementation and audio engineering. I worked closely with the development team to create an immersive audio experience that supported the game creation platform’s accessible and creative vision.

    paper Word Tag

    An educational mobile game from Mrs Wordsmith that combines learning with fun gameplay. Word Tag challenges players to improve their vocabulary through engaging interactive experiences.

    My Role
    • Created original music and sound effects for characters, UI, and gameplay mechanics
    • Implemented audio using Unity’s built-in audio system
    • Collaborated with developers and designers to ensure audio enhanced the educational experience

    I took over this project from Tobias Nielsen in November 2023. A lot of the fundamentals was already setup in Unity using Unity’s own audio system. Since then I’ve been improving the setup and adding music and SFX as the game has kept on growing. I have been focusing on continuing the playful and optimistic style of the game.

    paper Readiculous

    A phonics-based learning app from Mrs Wordsmith that teaches children ages 3-7 to read through engaging, game-based experiences. Designed by animator Craig Kellman (Madagascar, Hotel Transylvania) and backed by the Science of Reading.Readiculous makes learning to read ridiculously fun through a combination of systematic synthetic phonics and gamified learning. The app features hilarious characters designed by Craig Kellman, engaging mini-games, and daily progress reports for parents.

    Using the Science of Reading methodology, Readiculous teaches the 44 phonemes and over 200 graphemes of the English language through a logical progression. With just 10 minutes of daily play, children learn 2x faster than traditional methods while having fun with characters and stories that rival their favorite cartoons.

    The app includes systematic phonics instruction, high-frequency word practice, and features a curriculum aligned with what children learn at school, making it the perfect supplementary tool for phonics education.
