Actor at Lekwetji Foundation
October 1, 2025 - December 6, 2025
Here I starred in Relativity; a stage play written by South African theatre and TV legends Presley Chweneyegae and Mpho Paul Grootboom. Directed by Charlotte Mokoka as part of the MCO (Mayibuye Community Outreach) programme funded by the South African State Theatre. I played three supporting roles, with one of them getting me recognized at the MCO Awards (which took place February 2026) in the 'Best Supporting Actor' category as a nominee. A challenging yet highly fruitful experience where I Iearnt of the deeper intricacies that go into creative problem-solving in a work environment, the independent creative arts scene as a theatre practitioner, and what it means to workshop originally published works. This taught me resilience, speed, and adapting to a new work environment that colleagues have already been in for months!

Definitely the "industry boot camp" training needed to soft launch me into the entertainment industry. The biggest lesson I took from this period in my life was definitely this: FAIL AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE! I think I went into AFDA with a very "set in stone" and rigid plan for my early career, which went straight out the window, the more of NEW I explored! From data grading, to cinematography and scriptwriting, I explored as much of film production as I could! Ironically, it brought me to this conclusion: if you would like to work in the creative arts industry or utalize skillsets needed to work in this industry for another, you must be as open to new things as much as possible, as the industry is in constant evolution! NEW means DIFFERENT, and different means CHANGE. BE OPEN TO CHANGE
