Hi, I’m Thomas N. Smith, an author, screenwriter, and voice-over narrator based in San Antonio, Texas. I am also a retired environmental scientist/geologist with 45 years in environmental site assessment, permitting, site investigation and cleanup, training, and presentations.
I published the novel Pursuit of Paradise, my historical fiction about my parents during World War II. I wrote the full screenplay for Pursuit of Paradise (feature and serial formats), self-narrated the audiobook, and recently narrated The Power to Defend, a film by Kontent Films about the historical and cultural aspects of Mare Island Shipyard in California. I completed voice-over training at Such A Voice in December 2025.
I am passionate about developing complex characters and immersive narratives. My work blends thorough research with creative storytelling to bring historical contexts to life and to engage readers and audiences alike. I have an 11-year track record as an author and storyteller, and I continually strive to produce compelling content that resonates and informs.
