Led editorial strategy for Champions League and Premier League coverage at Iceland’s leading commercial broadcaster, shaping studio narratives, analysis and run-of-show structure. Managed graphic elements and designed templates in Photoshop, delivering league-standard visuals that strengthened on-air storytelling. Collaborated closely with operators and producers to align on-air graphics with editorial flow and analysis.

Director, Sports Broadcast at RUV (National Broadcaster of Iceland)

January 1, 2022 - December 1, 2025

Directed multi-camera live studio coverage of major international tournaments, including the FIFA World Cup and UEFA European Championship, reaching up to 50% of Iceland’s population. Supported the development of digital media strategy, assisting with content planning and broadcast-to-digital alignment. Directed live multi-camera broadcasts across multiple sports, leading crews of 20–25 across on-air talent, technical, and production roles while overseeing pre-planning, camera mapping, talent coordination, and OB truck operations for international matches and domestic cup competitions. Helped launch Iceland’s first live virtual studio production in collaboration with Pixotope, with the virtual studio built and delivered in just three months. Also supported the integration of Ross Piero for real-time analysis.

Hosted and produced the weekly soccer podcast Punktur og Besta for Visir, Iceland’s leading online media platform. Created, produced, and hosted Sparkvarpið at Kjarninn, Iceland’s second ever soccer podcasts, exploring the cultural, historical, and political stories of the game.
