Tim Grivas collaborated with Steve Frattalone of St. Paul, MN, to create a light spectacle at the Saint Paul, MN, Ice Palace. This public art display took place during the St. Paul Winter Festival. Each block of ice is approximately six feet long, and scaffolding was erected inside the structures to hold the lighting in place. Tim designed a control system that was automated to synchronize the lighting and sound, running on a schedule over the series of days the light show occurred twice an hour. There was more than one show, but this one, in particular, was created to play during the live broadcast of the NHL hockey playoffs. The Palace was the second project on which Tim was involved in the city of St. Paul, Minnesota, alongside Frattalone & Associates.

At the Luminera Art Festival, Tim Grivas presented a public installation featuring a 3D projection mapping project, anchored by a 15-foot-tall Ulmic head replica statue positioned in front of the Instituto de Mexico Museum in San Antonio, TX. All elements of the production were designed by Tim Grivas in collaboration with William Struthers, who served as the art director and 3D animation creator. The project encompassed 3D image mapping, lighting design, and a cinematic-style soundtrack, which captivated audiences.

The Austin Symphony Orchestra celebrated its 100th year anniversary by inviting its hometown Texas city to experience a new sound and light event: “Into the Light.”

It was the extravagant after-show of the symphony’s centennial concert at the Long Center for the Performing Arts. Patrons spilled out onto the terrace while citizens gathered on the adjoining lawn to enjoy a spectacle created by Tim Grivas and Jan Bozarth, partners in the Austin event experience company yodayoda.
