Tristan Vazquez is a filmmaker and editor based in Seoul, South Korea with experience directing, producing, filming, writing, editing, and acting. He has edited many environmental educational videos including 22 videos about York University’s Environmental Studies Las Nubes Field course during the course and uploaded them. He also received University funding to go back to Costa Rica and make a documentary about woodpecker research being done by PHD student Chris Saker. Tristan has worked as an editor for over a year and a half at a Korean video production company that specialized in Startup and YouTube videos. Through that company he has edited over 100 start up videos and contributed to the cinematography in some of the videos. He edited and cohosted a YouTube channel the company created called Along for the Ride where we would interview creatives in Korea. Tristan has also written, procured and directed his own fantasy, sci-fi and supernatural short films and environmental documentaries. His current short steampunk film called A Hum of Shadows, which is doing it’s festival run, has won the LAWebfest Best Special Effects/Visual Effects Award and the Seoul Webfest Best actor Award for Wade Hawkins. Tristan has extensive experience with editing in Davinchi Resolve, Final Cut, Adobe Premiere Pro, and doing some effects in Adobe After Effects.
