Tomas Kumpiniauskas

I’m a filmmaker, video editor and videographer from Vilnius, Lithuania.
I work at the intersection of cinema, theatre, and commercial video, creating work that is emotionally grounded, structurally precise, and purpose-driven.

My background is rooted in storytelling first. I hold a BA in Film Screenwriting from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and have spent years directing and writing for both film and theatre, including projects presented at international festivals across Europe. This foundation strongly informs how I approach every project—whether it’s a narrative film, music video, or performance-driven commercial.

Alongside my artistic work, I have hands-on experience in commercial video production, currently editing video ads for Meta, YouTube, and TikTok, and working as a freelance videographer for commissioned projects. I understand how content needs to function in real conditions: platform rules, viewer attention, pacing, clarity, and conversion. I don’t just make things “look good”—I make them work.

I combine cinematic thinking with direct-response and platform-aware editing. I have deep experience working with actors and non-actors, thanks to years as a theatre director and pedagogue. I’m comfortable moving between artistic, educational, and commercial sectors
I understand both creative intention and practical constraints (budget, deadlines, formats, platforms).

I’ve directed music videos, written and assisted on feature films, led international theatre projects, taught workshops abroad, and edited high-performance digital video ads. This range allows me to adapt quickly, communicate clearly with clients, and bring strong narrative structure even to short-form or commercial work.
