Trenton Rhodes (b. 2002) is an award-winning composer and musician working in Arkansas. His music has been played by ensembles such as the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) Wind Ensemble, the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith (UAFS) Wind Ensemble, the Association of Concert Bands Convention Band, UCA Chamber Singers, UCA Campus band, Oachita Baptist University Wind Ensemble, Fivemind Reeds, and many other groups. Born into a very musical family, Rhodes began with the piano at 6 years old, and through the mentorship of his band director parents (Brian and Angela Rhodes) gradually came to the study of trumpet and composition. Ever since, his music has enjoyed exposure all over Arkansas and in various places throughout the United States. The primary goal of his music is to express our humanity – that is, to explore human emotions that are universal to everyone. Rhodes has a passion for sharing music with everybody, as every human being deserves a chance to discover its true beauty. Because of this, his music is carefully crafted and emotionally powerful, to truly convey music’s raw power as one of the great arts. He holds Bachelors of Music Education and Bachelors of Music Composition degrees from the University of Central Arkansas, with primary teachers including Dr. Ross Ahlhorn, Dr. Angela King, Dr. Michael Hancock, and Dr. Paul Dickinson.
