Trisha Virdi is a pianist and composer for concert and visual media whose work explores the intersection of music and storytelling. She began studying piano at the age of four in Tokyo, before attending the Berklee College of Music, where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Music in Film Scoring and minors in Video Game Scoring and Visual Culture and New Media Studies. She later completed a Master’s degree in Music Composition at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, graduating with distinction.
Her work spans concert music, film scoring, production, orchestration, arranging, and music preparation, collaborating with directors, composers, performers, and ensembles across a range of projects. Influenced by composers such as Debussy, Bach, Michael Giacchino, John Powell, and John Williams, she combines classical craftsmanship with a cinematic approach to create music that is both emotionally engaging and narratively driven.
Alongside her composing career, Trisha is a passionate educator with experience teaching composition, music theory, ear training, and piano. Having lived and studied in Japan, India, the United States, and the United Kingdom, she brings an international perspective to both her creative practice and teaching.
