I am Umme Haanee, an illustrator based in Australia who has enjoyed a varied and lucrative career in advertising, design, editorial, and publishing markets. I first started to draw when I was very young, creating fantastical creatures and horses inside the pages of my mother's phone book. My journey began straight after leaving art school, from Rhode Island School of Design, where I graduated with Honors in BFA Illustration. I immediately started working as a commercial illustrator. With a contemporary, expressive style, I draw my subjects with movement and fluidity. Line and color play a big part in my art, working with carefully selected color palettes which are influenced by vintage packaging and retro design. With my experience with working in both the States as well as the UAE, and now Australia, I hope I am able to make a meaningful contribution to any project.
