    uniE621 Shapes of Light 1
The title of this medium-length film refers to a John Keats’ line taken from the poem Sleep and Poetry: «So that we look around with prying stare,/Perhaps to see shapes of light, aerial lymning,/And catch soft floatings from a faint-heard hymning». The work is inspired in particular by The Text of Light (Stan Brakhage, 1974) and was originally born as a study on light reflection. The movements and colours generated compose, at the same time, an imaginary of aquatic and cosmic atmosphere and the sound structure created by the sound designer Riccardo Santalucia follows the luminist score, strengthening the visual and perceptive immersion in a primordial fluid and kaleidoscopic dimension.
    uniE621 Dyonisos' Mirror - Fragment 7
Seven sequences that reflect a fragmented reality, yet one animated by an underground, rhythmic and vibrant life. They do not capture rehearsals for a performance, but rather the outcome of practices developed over years of research aimed at awakening a dreaming body, alive and present. In a polyphony of voices capable of evoking archetypal and collective forms, the choir moves guided by a rediscovered instinctive nature. As if inside a swarm, the concert is driven by a “wild” language capable of revealing a new awareness of self and space. This collective body of sound, trained to an organic pulsation of movement fused with song, also draws its power from its encounter with classical myth, from those archetypes that evoke primary emotions and figurations: as if from beneath a golden veil, the mythical tale protects and reveals the power of the archaic body. uniE621 Cercatemi e fuoriuscite
The video inspired by the composition Cercatemi e fuoriuscite (Bellicose Variations, 1964) by Amelia Rossellihttps://www.twine.net/signin) is part of the doctoral research conducted from 2020 to 2024. As short as the first films in the history of cinema, it was partly shot by placing a vertical polarizer extracted from a liquid crystal display in front of the lens. This expedient not only doubles and reflects the images, but also makes them undefined, thus reducing them almost to semi-abstract compositions of colors, spots observed by a myopic, hallucinated eye.
