I am Patrick Giguère, a composer, musician, and music educator based in Montréal, Canada. With a strong academic background including a doctorate in music composition from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and my current postdoctoral fellowship at Université de Montréal, I have developed a rich portfolio across symphony orchestras, chamber music, solo instrumental and vocal works. My practice often crosses collaborative projects incorporating improvisation and I actively engage as a conductor and artistic director in contemporary music ensembles and festivals. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to receive prestigious awards, scholarships and residencies in various countries including the UK, Canada, Italy, Sweden, Brazil, and the Netherlands. I also have significant experience in arts administration and production management.
