I started in sound at 20 years old as an apprentice in 1981 working for a TV production company. Quickly moving up to assistant sound mixer and started working in live sound for concerts. When MTV came out, I transitioned into sound for music videos doing playback and recording sound, and my live sound background led to A1 positions for live concert recordings, concert videos, DVDs, and live albums. Then moving into sound for film and television, while still doing live events when available.
Live concert videos and recordings; three tours with Beck, Lenny Kravitz, Keith Urban, Elton John, Ozzy Osbourne, Mudvayne, Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Temple Pilots, Ziggy Marley, Keiko Matsui in Japan, and 106 live concert broadcasts on the web during the Fridays from the Funky Uncle. Proficient in all aspects of audio, both live and taped — mixing live sound for front of house and stage monitors; mixing live to tape on location and in a studio environment; recording live music on location and in a studio environment. Knowledgeable in Pro Tools; sound mixing for film and television. Operating my own sound company, maintaining and repairing gear.
