I am Janio Abreu Morcate, a passionate musician, composer, arranger, and producer from Havana, Cuba. With a bachelor's degree in Music Performance and Pedagogy and a master's degree in Management of Cuban Musical History and Documentary Patrimony, I have devoted my life to music education, performance, and preservation of Cuban musical heritage. I have extensive experience leading bands, teaching students, and producing music for various artists and projects. I have toured extensively across continents with my band, collaborated with renowned musicians, and performed at important festivals such as Jazz Plaza. I am also involved in radio and television programs about music, and I recently led a significant performance for the British Ambassador in Havana. Fluent in English and native in Spanish, I continuously seek to innovate within Cuban music by blending roots with international sounds and educating the next generation of musicians.
