Investigated and implemented container security mechanisms for in-vehicle infotainment systems on Visteon’s Exynos Auto-based hardware. Explored multiple Linux security frameworks including AppArmor, SMACK, and container-native SELinux to secure containerized services, identifying their limitations. Configured and deployed a host-native SELinux policy enforcement model securing Linux containers, diagnosing and resolving system-level misconfigurations such as kernel parameters and init system settings. Designed a modular SELinux policy-writing framework enabling fine-grained access control tailored for containerized services. Improved security posture and reduced attack surfaces by enforcing mandatory access controls for critical in-vehicle service components.
