Dear Hiring Team, I am a screenwriter and creative writing graduate with a strong interest in game narrative, and I am seeking long-term collaborative work in the space. The opportunity to write across multiple genres for a studio at an early stage, where narrative is being built from the ground up, is exactly the kind of work I am looking for. My TV pilot script, The Twenty-Third Floor, won Best TV Pilot at the Oniros Film Awards and reached the finals of the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards. Writing a pilot is in many ways good preparation for game writing: you have to establish character, world, and stakes quickly, sustain a consistent tone, and write dialogue that reveals rather than explains. I am also acutely aware of what is different about interactive narrative, particularly the demands of non-linear structure, player agency, and maintaining voice consistency across content that may be experienced in any order. These are problems I find genuinely interesting rather than intimidating. My academic background supports this. My MLitt in Creative Writing at the University of Glasgow, completed with distinction, included intensive work on narrative structure, editorial feedback, and writing for specific audiences. My BA in English Literature and Theatre Studies at Warwick trained me to read closely and think carefully about how stories produce meaning in different forms and contexts. Both feed directly into world-building and tonal consistency, which I understand to be central to this role. Professionally, I have spent three years at the Bayerische Staatsoper coordinating complex productions to tight deadlines. Working across artistic and administrative teams in a fast-moving environment has made me a reliable, clear communicator who is comfortable taking feedback and iterating quickly, which I know matters in a collaborative development pipeline. I am eligible to work in Australia and available to work remotely. I would welcome the chance to discuss the role further. Yours sincerely, Elfi Wallisser
