Camp Councilor at Talisman Camp

Worked at a summer camp in North Carolina supporting children and young adults with autism and ADHD. Responsibilities included ensuring camper safety, filling out health and behavior reports, assisting campers in developing new coping strategies and social skills, serving food, and facilitating friendships. Encouraged participation in sports and team roles, enforced safety and camp rules, addressed behavioral issues, and resolved conflicts. Built strong relationships with campers and staff through effective communication and promoted physical, mental, and social wellbeing via varied activities.
