I'm a designer from Malaysia with Filipino and Sri Lankan roots, with a Bachelor (Hons) in Design Communication at Sunway University. My work explores the intersection of visual storytelling, sustainability, and speculative design. I am particularly interested in how design can encourage environmental awareness and inspire alternative ways of thinking about our relationship with nature. Through my research, I have investigated the role of fungi in reducing household organic waste and explored how sustainable systems can be translated into engaging visual narratives. With experience in illustration, branding, visual communication, and game art, I enjoy creating work that balances creativity with purpose. My artistic practice is often inspired by natural ecosystems, worldbuilding, and the hidden networks that connect people, environments, and ideas. Whether developing visual identities, designing illustrations, or crafting immersive concepts, I aim to create thoughtful and meaningful experiences that leave a lasting impact. What differentiates me as a designer is my ability to merge imaginative storytelling with sustainability-driven thinking, creating designs that are both visually engaging and socially conscious. Employment and Project Experience 2D Game Artist Intern Alva Productions January 2025 – March 2025 Completed a three-month internship as part of my university programme, contributing to the development of 2D game assets and illustrations. Collaborated with the production team to create visual content that aligned with project requirements, while gaining experience in professional workflows, asset creation, and game art production pipelines. Research Project: Fungal Systems and Sustainable Waste Management 2024 – Present Conducted research exploring the use of fungi as a sustainable solution for reducing household organic waste through decomposition. Investigated the ecological importance of fungal networks and translated these findings into design concepts and visual communication projects that promote environmental awareness and sustainable living.
